Honey Chamomile Tea Latte Recipe | Medicinal Herbs
Chamomile tea is a traditional remedy for soothing the digestive system and promoting restful sleep, but it’s also great as an all-natural way to relax your mind and body after a long day of work or study. So, turning this classic drink into latte is a great way to put your own health spin on an amazing herbal tea.
This recipe combines honey with chamomile flowers, which have been used since ancient times to soothe stomachaches, nausea, headaches, and other ailments. It makes a delicious latte that you can enjoy any time of day!
Health Benefits of Chamomile
Chamomile has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years. In addition to its calming effects, chamomile tea may help relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, indigestion, colic, insomnia, and even arthritis.
If you are on an Endometriosis journey or dealing with chronic inflammation, adding chamomile to your regiment can be helpful. It will help inflammation flares from being trigged due to stress.
Chamomile Tea Benefits
1. Relaxing: The relaxing properties of chamomile make it perfect for relieving tension and anxiety. You can use it to calm yourself down before bedtime or when you need some extra relaxation during the day.
2. Digestive: Chamomile tea helps promote digestion by stimulating the flow of bile from the liver. This means that it will help break up fat deposits in the gallbladder and intestines, making them easier to digest.
3. Nausea relief: If you feel queasy, try drinking chamomile tea instead of taking medication. It works just like over-the-counter antiemetics (drugs such as Dramamine), but without the side effects.
4. Skin care: Chamomile contains natural oils that are good for skin care. They can be applied directly to the skin to treat eczema, psoriasis, and sunburn.
5. Sleep aid: Drinking chamomile tea before going to bed can help you get more restful sleep. Studies show that people who drank chamomile tea had fewer nighttime awakenings than those who didn’t drink it.
6. Headache relief: A cup of chamomile tea can provide temporary relief from migraines.
7. Heartburn relief: Chamomile tea can help ease heartburn caused by spicy foods.
8. Indigestion relief: Chamomile can help reduce gas and bloating caused by indigestion.
9. Arthritis relief: Chamomile oil is often recommended for treating joint pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
10. Antiseptic: Chamomile tea is antibacterial and antifungal, making it effective against many types of infections.
Health Benefits of Raw Honey
Raw honey is loaded with nutrients like vitamins B6, C, E, Folic Acid, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. These minerals are essential for maintaining healthy skin, bones, teeth, hair, nails, and muscles. Plus, raw honey contains antioxidants that fight free radicals, which cause cell damage.
What is a latte?
A latte is simply milk froth over coffee. Traditionally, a latte was made by pouring hot espresso directly into a glass containing steamed milk. However, today we use a different method: We heat up our milk first, then pour it over ice cubes. The result is a creamy, smooth beverage with a light foam top.
Herbal Latte
Herbal lattes are a fun and healthy way to start your mornings. They’re easy to make at home, and they taste great too! This particular recipe uses fresh chamomile blossoms, which are available year round. You can find them at most grocery stores during springtime. If you’d prefer to use dried chamomile, just add 1/2 teaspoon per cup of water instead of 1 tablespoon.
