5 Ways to Find Balance in Life| Chic Social Beauty & Wellness Flashback
There is something beautiful about finding women who want the same thing you want in life. You know, the basic things –To be able to drink my water, keep my skin clear, keep negativity a bay and achieve a balanced life.
I Just Want to Drink Water & Stay Balanced!
The goal is to hit all the buckets — Health, Success, Positivity, and a little bit of glitter to throw around. It can be hard, but it’s not impossible. It’s a game of finding a balance in a forever changing world of responsibilities can seem daunting, which is why it is important to find events and a tribe that will help you get.
5 Ways to Find Balance in Life
- Unplug! The most important step in finding balance is taking a step back and seeing the bigger picture. Put time on your schedule to unplug, to do nothing, to let your mind go, and be at peace. Depending on where you are in your journey, this could take a few minutes, a few hours or a few days. The point to release the pressure of constantly being on the go and realign the things you are doing with your purpose.
- Find a Tribe. No matter what journey I am on — Endometriosis, motherhood, married life, blogging, etc. I have found a circle of people that understand my journey. This is a group of people I am able to grow it. These tribes are crucial for me. They are the epicenter of peace along the journey. When looking for your tribe it’s important to find events and people that you can connect with. You will know when they are the right people to take the journey with!
- Meditate. Taking 5 minutes each day to simply focus on your breathing is powerful! It may sound silly at first, but it will help you find the balance you need in your life.
- Write it Down. Writing down your goals and your dreams can be a way of cementing your affirmations into your reality. Start with the bigger picture, but make it a habit every day to write down your goals and affirmations for the day. It will help ease the anxiety of things that go undone.
- Be Gracefully Unapologetic. No is a powerful word that should be used more often. It is okay to say no to the things that don’t align with where you are in your life at a specific time. Do it gracefully with love, and know it is a part of your self-care.
The Steps I Took To Finding Balance
It was after the last A Chic Social that I knew I needed to unplug for a while. My body was changing, my child was growing, work was busy, and life was stopping! I felt like was on autopilot and I couldn’t hear myself think.
So I unplugged, dug dip in my tribes, find a quiet place, wrote a lot down, and gracefully fell off the face of the Earth.
Here are the highlights of the amazing start to my new balance…
A Chic Social – Beauty & Wellness Edition
This year’s A Chic Social was focused on beauty and wellness.
My friend Mo, at The Chic Social, has been such a cornerstone for me on this motherhood journey and when she asked me to share about my journey with Endometriosis and becoming a mother it was a no brainer!
Yoga
We started the day with a yoga session lead by Nyathat helped us find our peace of mind and calm our thoughts.
Holistic Vendors
Afterward, we explored holistic vendors that helped us know our options when it comes to skincare, kombucha, candle therapy, and more.
Healthy Bites
Enjoyed a bomb health lunch by Flower Child.
Genuine Convo
And had some frank conversations about our journey in beauty and wellness.
It was definitely a day filled with rejuvenating conversations, bonding time, and pure joy. And I am already excited about what’s to come at the next A Chic Social!
