Charleston Tea Affair
Where to Find Tea in Charleston
If you have been following the blog for a while, you already know I have a love affair with Charleston, SC. It is one of those places that gives me everything I need. Southern love, weather and comfort, history, food, fashion and finds.
Last time I went, I found the cutest historical hotel and explored the joys of horse and carriage rides. And, there was so much more I wanted to do. (Last trip to Charleston: How to Date Yourself in Charleston“)
This go-around, I wanted to explore the world of tea and pretty nic-nacs. If you are in love with tea like me, Charleston has a lot of unique finds that you will love.
The Only Tea Plantation in America
Unique Tea Finds
First things first, if you are really into tea you have to visit the Charleston Tea Plantation. It is the only tea plantation in the United States where tea is grown and sold.
While there, you can take a tour of the facility to see how is made. As well as, view the acres of tea plants that are harvested to make American Classic Tea.
I left with a wealth of knowledge and hacks that I will be sharing on the blog in the weeks to come. It was definitely a tea lovers haven. It is a must visit if you are in the area.
Ladies, don’t forget to kiss the frog on your way out… He might just turn into your Prince Charming. 😉
Honey For My Tea
2. The Savannah Bee Company
Everyone knows if you are having tea, honey has to be nearby! After visiting the Charleston Tea Planation, head down to Kings Street where you will find a gem — The Savannah Bee Company.
Think of any and every honey fusion, and you will find it at the Savannah Bee Company. I fell like I become the Forest Gump of honey going crazy of Rosemary Honey, Tupelo Honey, Orange Blossom Honey, and Raw Honey. Honey you grill with, honey you bake with, honey to get you tipsy, and honey to wear… They got ALL the honey you need and they let you taste them!
I left with my own bottle of Sourwood Honey. But, please believe I will end up with my own wall of honey by the end of the year… I left feeling inspired to get some more liquid gold.
If you find yourself in Charleston, let me know if you get a chance to check out these tea finds.
