Ways to Stay Heart Healthy | National Heart Health Month Segment
Happy Monday Verbs!!
This month is National Heart Health Month, and it’s rarely something you think about unless you have heart issues, know someone with heart issues or experiences some bad heartburn from time to time that makes you question everything you ate that day! For me heart health is something extremely important because my mom has Pulmonary Hypertension. Watching my mom over the years fight to get stronger, take personal control of her health by doing her own research, changing her diet and refusing to let it stop her from living the life you wanted to live.
This, among other heart issues, can creep up on you with little to know signs. Which is why it is important to give you heart the extra attention it needs to stay heart healthy.
Here are a few tips to staying Heart Healthy:
-
Get Active!
-
Manage your blood cholesterol
-
Manage your blood pressure
-
Be Smoke-Free
-
Maintain a Healthy Weight
-
Maintain a Healthy Diet
This past weekend I did a segment on Fox 45 sharing a few food and drink items you consider adding to your diet to keep you heart healthy. Check out the segment video and links to treats below…
