This endo journey is real! There have been seasons in my life that I feel like I have everything under control, and then there are other seasons that I can’t seem to find a glimmer of hope. There are two things that I know for sure on this 10 year journey: 1. I am in complete control of my body for good and bad, and 2. Every action I take has either a positive or negative effect on my health and pain levels. Living with endometriosis can be physically and emotionally exhausting, and that exhaustion can lead to unwanted stress that will put your body in fight or flight causing inflammation and pain. The one thing that can help with this is daily radical self-care in all areas of your life.

This practice can play a powerful role in improving your quality of life. Whether you’re managing pain, navigating dietary changes, facing a challenging mental load or seeking emotional support, there are practical strategies to help you thrive. - Heat Therapy: A heating pad or warm bath can soothe pelvic pain and relax tense muscles.

This is easier said than done, but you are not superwoman! And the moment you start trying to be that, your body will remind you that you are not! This is this gift and curse of having endometriosis. Whenever things are causing you stress, your body will react. So listen to it, and take the steps to eliminate those stressors. For me, juggling picking my son up from school in the middle of the day, caused my body to constantly tense up. So, I had to find help to support me with pick up and giving me time to transition from work mode to mom mode without feeling like I had to juggle both.
This is an area that is personal. So, be with your self and address any situations, people, places or things that are causing you to feel any level of imbalance in your body.
