Williams Sonoma Scent | Stovetop Potpourri DIY
Stovetop Potpourri is so easy, and it is an amazing mood booster. It is one of those things that I have added to my weekly self-care checklist. Simply because the smell of fresh herbs and fruits can turn even a quaratined work day into a retreat. Today I am sharing one of my favorite smell hacks — the Williams Sonoma Store Scent!
This scent reminds me of the days of being back in the world, and it is truly a scent that can put me in a good space. What makes this potpourri recipe even better, is you only need 3 simple ingredients — lemon, rosemary, and vanilla. That’s it!
It will have your house smelling amazing for hours! And you will really feel like you are doing something because you are using ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
Things to Remember When Making Stovetop Potpourri
- Add more water as needed! Don’t let you water get below a cup on the stove. You don’t want to burn your pot.
- Keep it on low. This is a scent that supposed to last. Cooking it on high won’t make the scent stronger.
- Double it up. If you want a stronger scent, double of up the ingredients… Just don’t forget #1 — Keep enough water in your pot at all times.
Bonus: Use a crockpot for a more lasting scent that doesn’t require checking on.
Tips:
- Monitor Water Levels: Ensure the water doesn’t drop below one cup to avoid burning the pot.
- Maintain Low Heat: Simmering on low heat helps the scent last longer.
- Enhance the Aroma: For a stronger fragrance, consider doubling the ingredients.
- Alternative Method: Using a slow cooker can provide a lasting scent without the need for constant monitoring.
This stovetop potpourri is an excellent addition to your self-care routine, transforming your home into a fragrant retreat. The combination of lemon, rosemary, and vanilla creates a soothing atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
