The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville is a North Carolina Bucket List Hotel that you will enjoy from the time you check-in to your last day.

Asheville, NC is such a great place to visit! There are so many wonderful accommodations to choose from. If you’re looking for something luxurious, you could try The Omni Grove Park Inn, a historic hotel in the mountains with stunning views. For something more affordable, you could try a cozy Airbnb in the city or a hotel like the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore. The Grand Bohemian

Self-Care Hotel Retreat

The Grand Bohemian is a personal favorite of mine. It offers a unique historical and art flair that inspires me.

Upon arrival, you are greeted with a glass of champagne in a Grand Bohemian Hotel glass. In the lobby, you will find artwork with both a unique and historical touch.

When walking to your room, it feels like you are walking through a curated art gallery.

Once in your room, you will notice locally sourced lotions and soaps to indulge on during your stay. The best part of your room is the spa tube with open windows that allow you to overlook the scenic view from your room while enjoying a good soak.

While spending 2 days in Asheville, make sure you take some time to visit the art room in the lobby of the Grand Bohemian.

There are so many unique places to stay in Asheville, but one of my favorites is the Grand Bohemian Hotel. It is located directly across from the Biltmore Estate and is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.

This hotel is a part of the Marriott Autograph Collection, and it is full of artistic and historical characters. The thing I lost the most about this hotel is the self-care luxury that offers rooms with full-size tubes for a relaxing soak.

Visit Historical Sites in Asheville

Start your day off with a visit to the Biltmore Estate. Built in 1895, this 8,000 acre estate is the largest privately-owned home in the United States. Visiting the Biltmore estate is a wonderful way to step back in time and explore the fascinating history of the Vanderbilt family. Every inch of the magnificent estate is filled with breathtaking sights and experiences, from the grand chateau to the sprawling gardens.

You can take a tour of the house to get a glimpse of how the Vanderbilts lived or stroll the grounds and take in the stunning views. There’s also an award-winning winery, a farm village, and a variety of shops and restaurants. Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking for a unique experience, the Biltmore Estate is a must-visit destination.

How long is the Biltmore Estate tour?

An expert-guided tour of the Biltmore Estate takes 1.5 hours and can be pre-purchased on the Biltmore Estate website, here. There are two different tour options — Winter and Spring. When purchasing your tour package, you can choose an audio-guided visit, audio-guided visit plus, and expert-guided visit plus. Each option includes a daytime visit to the Biltmore House, access to the 8.000 acres of gardens and grounds, as well as access to the Antler Hill Village & Winery. Plan 2-3 hours to explore everything the estate has to offer.

After touring the house and grounds, and then take a break at the winery or enjoy lunch on the property. If you decide not to eat at the Biltmore, take a short drive downtown.

For lunch, during your 2 days in Asheville, head to the historic Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar. Enjoy a unique book-shopping experience, and then refuel with a delicious meal.
